Having raised boys into men, I understand the challenges to their survival in 21st Century America. What might be further explored in gender roles is how girls use a different value system to survive and how males become pawns in a calculated exchange rate. Usually, in my observation, males don't even know it's happening. My husband once asked me, after glimpsing the hidden intention about something I was planning, "are you always plotting something?" Answer: "Yes, always." If life were chess, girls play 10 jumps ahead.
